You are providing the kind of rationalizing used by racists in the past to explain why minorities should perfer to live with their own kind and have separate facilities.

Inaccurate. No such discrimination is implied or a result of this issue either way it goes.

It may not be implied but nonetheless, exists. You are saying marriage is the exclusive domain of a hetro couple. That is no different than requiring the separation of the races or requiring blacks to sit at the back of the bus. There is no rule of nature that requires such separation nor such exclusivity to marriage. Both were customs created by man that inadvertently discriminate......by intent I might add.

Single people have other rewards, more free independent time etc. As much as gays complain about straights having something different, calling themselves married does not make them the same as straights, nor does it offer the same rewards. It is only an attempt to deny straights what they can't have as gays.

We are not talking about single people. We are talking about two women or two men who love each other and want to spend their lives together. They want the same legitimacy and benefits afforded hetro couples who love each other and want to spend their lives together. They don't want to be straight.....they want to be married and they want that marriage recognized by the State.
