Re: Beyond 2Gb cartridges

Please keep in mind that any Windows 95 machine purchased before late 1996 (i.e., pre-OSR2 Win95 systems) cannot address single partitions larger than 2Gb. I believe this is one of the reasons why IOM sized Jaz2 cartridges at 2Gb. When Windows 98 debuts and becomes widespread this limit will be lifted but until then it will prevent widespread adoption of any greater than 2Gb formats.
