The Republicans are saying no because Obama is proposing things that aren't good for the country.

A number of Democrats are saying no to some things too... cap and trade isn't going to happen - at least not from legislation, neither is immigration reform.

I want Obama to fail to socialize the country, to fail to impose crippling taxes and environmental restrictions on our economy, etc.

If Obama wants to suppress piracy in the Indian ocean, I'd support him in that. I would've supported him in trying to shoot down the NK missile. I'd support him in standing up for America ... should he do that .... as opposed to running the country down abroad.

I'd support Obama in canceling most of the porkulus package. It isn't needed, the economy is showing signs of recovering already so that wasteful spending will just hurt us economically. I'd support letting GM and Chrysler go bankrupt with no more funds from the govt. I'd support taking over bad banks and letting good ones survive with no more bailout funds.
