Talking of police state:

Not only this thread but U.K is on its way to become a police state.
Storing of email is just beginning. But there is a new one added this week.

As per a new law enacted last week, now all school officials should monitor their students and report to the government.
Here is a part of the law "if a student is late or fails to submit as assignment" he/she should be notified. This goes for every activity in schools such as late to class, absence from class, poor grade etc. It seems the teachers union is opposing this measure but there are teachers who are more than willing to do faithful reporting. One teacher from a reputed university already reported the absence of one student on the first day to class. I am not sure whether it is for students from outside UK or for all.

Orwell must be really happy to have his dream come true.!
