I think he's a bigot if he wants to keep gay people from having the same rights in their relationships as straight people I agree his church and pastor were definitely bigoted if not out right racist. As for these rights you keep talking about - can you name one? Civil unions are exactly the same from a legal standpoint - so it's a touch unclear what you mean. It's semantics and partially why I think the issue is ridiculous that it's been going on for so long. I like your MLK reference - but I would say this issue is not age related - it's pretty much across the board and in fact children find it even more disgusting - I find myself having to defend gay lifestyles to my kids and their friends for fear they grow up "hate filled bigots" to borrow a phrase. :-)
