No we are not, we are talking about the meaning of the term marriage. No, you took it one step further and added specificity to that meaning. You got into societal and cultural issues. If they want to be united they have the opportunity, no one is denying them that. United as in a legally sanctioned marriage. The term marriage defines a heterosexual couples union, not a gay union.
