It is important because it puts into question the credibility of a person chosen to lead this country.

It is not the President, and Biden seems like just a White House ornament so far, so many people will probably dismiss it as inconsequential.

But for people who consider the Office of Vice President to be a serious position, this allegation could be Earth moving.

Presidents have made mistakes, bungled operations, blundered on stage but none have survived the allegation of deceit, where it has stuck. The only thing more devastating is evidence of a cover up.
