And how do you equate signs like "God hates fags" with anything other than hate? That whack job in KS is not a representative sample of a church, or really of a human being. That family is nuts. I ran into them going to a KISS concert in Topeka. I shared some thoughts with one of them foaming at the mouth idiots. Now can I categorically say there is no hate "oozing" out of a church? Of course not. That would be silly. However, I am from the midwest, I am from a protestant church and I have NOT ever been exposed to one word that would represent hate coming from any of the ministers of my church or any church I have attended. We go to Catholic mass with my Boy Scout troop and, again, never once has the Father said anything that would be hate. If you mean being told to pray for those who do things outside the faith is hateful, then yes, I have prayed for people who's lives are bringing them despair due to their choices. I would leave a church if the minister preached like 'bam's preacher did for all those years he chose to sit and listen. Some folks choose not to leave and let their family listen to that tripe. Judgement call I guess.
