a knowledge deprived person, as you, have gone beyond the capacity to understand the world has changed -for the better- and old shibboleths no longer applies.

I have a theory that geography shapes the mindset of people. Thus Swiss and Austrians are narrow minded because they are surrounded by mountains and are not used to see a horizon.

Therefore they have a mental border. I believe people isolated, far from the beaten track are less cultured. Australians, Brazilians, Americans and Kiwis fall in this category.

Give you two examples: Manaus has a theater and Sidney has its opera house. This is because those people in the middle of the Amazon jungle -full of money of exporting natural rubber and Australians full of money of exporting lamb wool need to show they had culture.

Thus the Sidney opera house in the water. Kiwis aping what is done in belgium is also a proof of what I am telling you here. The monkey see monkey do thing.

This is the Manaus theater in the middle of the jungle
