Jack Geraghty of CS First Boston was on CNBC Friday. He pointed out that normally, chip companmies spend 20-22% of revenues for capital equipment, but that number has gone up to 29% in the last 2 years. He characterized 16M DRAM pricing at 4.10 as "just plain awful". He also said that 12% of industry spending comes from Intel. Overall, he sounded pretty intelligent, and is a name worth remembering.

i've posted 4 different sources for dram being BELOW achilles $4.35.
can you post one article saying it is higher? you've awful quite ;-)
seriously, dave, i do take great steps to find reality, fully understanding that i never really will know it exactly. but i do try and learn. if the reality is that dram turns up then i will be the first to point this out.
btw, i'm glad i haven't had to worry about that problem.
HOW LOW CAN YOU GO DRAM PRICING ;-)
as an aside i'd like to point out a screaming inconsistency with many bulls. when a stock is advancing they say "the trend is your friend." when it is falling, you don't here such statements.
if i'm ever being inconsistent, point it out. i really want to know so i can better interpret reality. |
