Yes I did escalate. At first it was the restricted share group that contacted me. They were hard nosed and gave me 2 days to buy the shares back. I contacted the group that handles high volume traders and they were sympathetic and did follow up with the restricted group. But in the end they also echoed the story that the company was responsible to inform me that the new merged shares are restricted.

I plan to take it up with the head of the high volume department and include email copies to 'Chuck' himself. Don't expect any change of course but at least I will get it off my chest. Jim
