It looks and feels similar to the HealthCare protests that derailed Clinton's first year initiative. When one party gets hold of too much power, arrogance seems to set in pretty quickly.

We'll see how much traction it gets. I was surprised to see the size of some of the rallies, especially the one in Ohio a few weeks ago.

If I were advising Obama, I would have him directly address the protesters in a speech and start working with the other side of the aisle on limiting the explosion of federal spending.

My prediction is his personal popularity numbers will act as a blinding weight to the reality of what's building beneath his policy prescriptions. American's can personally like their President, and still be strongly against a specific policy initiative. Obama and his team should recognize, not all criticism needs to be attacked as "a Rush Limbaugh RW clone" or some other knee-jerk liberal sentiment.

Bottom line; stop reading KOS and the other hard left sites to set policy and start listening to broad focus groups.
