Funny thing is when I was trying to sell some of my stock, which I hold in certificate form...the brokerage told me they wouldn't trade it until I brought it in. So how can they use the excuse the dog ate it or I lost it when if a person tries to trade it they have to bring the certificate to them? Try it and see for yourself. It didn't work for me to tell them I'll bring it in after I go to the bank and get it.
