Alan, It is not hard to see why Obama is popular with so many. His strategy has been brilliant. He has promised the populace a welfare state based on the increased taxes on the top 2%. How could such a deal be frowned upon - until it is shown to be a lie. When the lie is revealed the numbers will change. Until then - hey - the welfare state is for free for most. Last weekend I said to my family 98% of the people think they are getting the welfare state for free. The Obama loving family simply thought I was nuts.
