MELVILLE, N.Y., April 15, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NasdaqGS:CMTL) announced today that its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., won a $2.1 million order for satellite communications equipment from the United States military. The equipment will be used to upgrade existing battlefield systems to operate using the Wideband Global Satcom (WGS) system.
The order included the DMD2050 Satellite Modem, a MIL-STD-188-165A compliant universal satellite modem that supports a wide variety of data rates up to 52 Mbps. Designed for military and government use, it is ideally suited for flyaway, at-the-halt and integrated satellite terminal applications. |
