Thinking about the democrat who spoke at our rally, it occurs to me that we have a great opportunity to make common cause with these people.

Job one is to pare back the power of the Federal Government. The guy who spoke gets that too. Probably because there is no realistic chance that he will ever make it to DC. The congressional seat changes hands once every 40 years and there are 10 democrats in line ahead of him for it. Senate, same thing except there are 50 democrats ahead of him for that. President? Forget it.

So he understands that state and local is the only place for him to fulfill his political appetite. And every year the Feds snatch more and more power from those jurisdictions.

There are hundreds of thousands of democrats and republican would be politicians in exactly that position. We all want more power to the locals at the expense of the Feds. We can make that happen.

(Then we can fight the liberals on our home turfs)
