coconut had been doing this sort of acts since lech

and now we are in germany, decompressing at friend's country place, walking to ruins of empire's past, wolfing pizza, sampling japanese food (lots of japanese had settled nearby in the 50's), doing a pony ride or two, checking out farmer's market, etc

conclusion to date:

paris is most fun to visit, but will require many iterations over a lifetime, so must save and be able to lodge wisely, and having family and friends in paris is a must to add to the reasons of repeat visits

lech/(any sort of downhill skiing in europe) is a must-learn for the very young, so that they can crowd and mingle when they are older

german countryside makes sense only if have friends so situated, else might as well go italian, and

living and working in hk is supreme, because all from everywhere is available, freedom is more plentiful, rights is more enforced, government is smaller, and, aside from housing (which can be a nav preserver if astute), all is more affordable.

p.s. frankly i find more similarities between the old europeans of france/germany and china on the one hand than i do between old europeans of france/germany and america.

otoh, i find much similarities between britain and america than i do between germany and france, and i find much sameness between russians and americans, as claimed by cb ilaine, than i do between russians and french, or, for that matter, greeks and americans in general, as cb ilaine wishes

and so the script inexorably plays on. let us watch and brief.
