Summary
Working gas in storage was 1,695 Bcf as of Friday, April 10, 2009, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 21 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 438 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 311 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,384 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 17 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 4 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 213 Bcf above the 5-year average of 543 Bcf after a net injection of 12 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 81 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 5 Bcf. At 1,695 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
