I didn't SAY THAT! IN fact there are zillions of "chairs" filled by scientists ALL OVER THE PLACE! Why is DAWKINS so "important" to you? Because he's very public and writes books about all this.... why is he "somebody"?? Not because he has a "chair"... he's SOMEBODY because he sells books.... he sells books because CREATIONISTS have given him an issue to write about!!

So? That's part of the point! His "fame" and public "import" is because you guys are drawn to him AND he to you like moths to flames.

GUY, you still miss the big picture of my point. Benefactors like him chose science because they perceive that as being the best way to help the most people... SCIENCE that is... NOT religion or supporting a religious order.

Which relates directly to :

Which I don't disagree with... but the fact is religions have lost much credibility vs science over the past several hundred years. To me the reason is obvious... and in fact people are CORRECT in that assessment of history. Religion must try and get their house in order if they want to be relevant.
