Most kids get involved in the politics of their parents- that's just the way families are. Right, left, center, apathetic- kids mimic their parents. When they get older maybe they reject their parents- but I actually think it's kind of sweet when families do stuff like this together- as long as they aren't going to klan meetings, or something really distasteful. How else to get your kids fired up about politics? Rallies and marches- that's the fun stuff. It doesn't accomplish much, but it FEELS so active.

I didn't take mine when they were small because I tend to be paranoid and I worry. But now that they are older I take them to anything they want to go to.
