Well, you are ignoring the fact that the loons have lost a lot of power. They are used to be taken with a lot of respect by the MSM they despise. And they have also shaped policy for the past decade or more.

Given that they have killed more Americans than AQ, can you imagine what they can do if they really focus on the task? Heck, we might even need those FEMA camps they fantasize about...
