Rambi -

I'm surprised that anyone believes Planned Parenthood is a radical fringe group.

Their first priority is to educate about birth control methods (including abstinence), and to make birth control available to everyone. They say that abstinence, used continuously, is 100% effective in preventing unwanted pregnancy, and also prevents STDs.

Planned Parenthood's most controversial stance is that the decision regarding what to do about an unwanted pregnancy belongs to the woman, her family, and her doctor. And that stance is shared by a majority of Americans, so it hardly puts them on the fringe.
