Yes, I'm thinking that adage may actually play out this year. Still, I'm not sure that the gold trade goes bull if that happens.

One of the major tenets I working with right now is that when the broad rally fails, one of the reasons may be that the Fed's (massive) re-inflation activity is not taking hold. That idea alone will be enough to stop the gold bull from a big move.

Right now flat looks might appealing to me. I'll give a lot of thought to covering my miner shorts at HUI 250-260, but I may not go long as I usually do when I close em. I'm think July or August might be a good entry point for miners. No matter what, I'm keeping dry powder and my miners plays on the long side will not be at my normal level of holdings.
