I've got just as much evidence of that as you do in blaming laissez-faire politics for Madoff.

If laissez-faire had nothing to do with it, why wasn't Madoff investigated? Why was the uptick rule re. the stock market, something that FDR put in place decades ago to stop naked shorting, suspended 4 years ago. In fact, why did the Bush administration do everything it could to encourage short selling. You want facts....then you need to start doing some digging. The party you so admire has been fukking over people like you and I for years. What's sad is that they continue to bamboozle people like you into supporting them by playing into your tax fears.
