We had divine right. Followed the king blindly because he descended from God. IQ borrows from that. Look carefully and you'll see it is a flavor of the same thing. Create a test to substantiate a claim that a certain group of people holds some inherent higher quality not found among the mass of people. And people would believe. I don't. I believed in the 50%-50% rule. Even a less endowed child will make significant progress if parents: Create a hunger to read. Provide a quiet place for the child to study Reward and value the learning Be open minded (religious fanaticism in parents are not good for child learning)
