An interesting call Marc Faber.

>>> "
doc marc faber, of boom, doom and gloom report, has explicitly alerted jewish folks to exit usa in his latest writeup, and plainly stated opinion for all to not trust obama. marc is also figuring on eventual usa-started war to divert attention of population, etc etc

he is recommending jewish folks to migrate to nations (i guess implicitly asia) where their numbers are so small and not likely to be picked on, as opposed to europe or, i guess, israel due to the neighbors

ballsy call of alarm "

Very interesting for the US, since the percentage of the population with some jewish ancestery is much higher than most people realize.

There are at least 4 groups -

1 Conversos, which are known in academic circle. Many in New Mexico and California.

2. There was extensive immigration for germany, austria, poland etc. in the middle 19th century, and many of these people had already converted or decided immigration was a good time to change names and religeons. About 30% of the US population has at least one German speaking ancestor.

Here's an example, former treasury secretary C Douglas Dillion
en.wikipedia.org

3. Many of the 20th century refugees decided it would be a good idea to change either before or after immigrating, and there are many people still living under names that were assumed for the purposes of safety.
This is pretty well known.

4. Possibly least well known, except for a few scholars of the Revolutionery war period. The were significant numbers of Sephardic Jews in New York, Charleson, and most important, Philadelphia. After a number of years, their names tend to disappear - so they either moved back to Europe, or more likely intermarried with various families, including Main Line families - they probabaly assimilated.

Only a little of this shows up in official information.

Wikipedia has the standard viewpoint.
en.wikipedia.org

that would be about 5-7 million Jews in the US., around 2%.

The number of people with some possible KNOWN TO THEM Jewish ancestory is maybe 6 to 8 %, maybe even higher...
