Yes, with that 1:1 BS they killed the East german economy over night. That's how the West german industry and their lobby wanted it and thus, with 19 million new customers the German economy stayed up for another 3 years vs the world wide economy from 1990. And the extended 'solidarity' subsidies have only contributed to extended unbalanced community budgets in the East. As for the South Italians...I have said it before and subito was proclaimed to be a racist by Ali: They are close to Africa. Maybe it has to do with the desert winds and the sand thus carried over to Italy, I don't know. Or rather as I mentioned before, the heat. Or both. Taro
