I see that ALYD put their white paper back up on their web site. Anyone that wonders why ALYD uses teams of 4-5 people, instead of, say, a high-school student to merely push a button, might want to read it: alydaar.com. Notice that the actual remediation part -- the part where the code is actually fixed -- is only part of the process.

We all know that the fastest car doesn't always win Indy. The craftsmanship of the mechanics, skill of the driver and the execution of the pit crew all play a pivotal role. And the race isn't over by a long shot until the car passes inspection.

With Y2K work you're always driving in traffic. And, as in real life, as much as you honk your horn, the guy in front of you may not feel like moving. Keep that in mind each and every time a new Y2K solution comes out of the woodwork.
