Sort of like a coalition or caucus. Politicos of a certain persuasion make behind the scenes collusion in order to do their preferences regardless of what the voters want.

In a free market system, such collusion amongst corporations would be considered criminal. But they get away with it sometimes.

I personally think politicians should represent their constituents and no other interest with the exception of the Constitution.

Do Indian politicians have their voting record published? If so, do the people pay attention to it?
