i am beginning to see what must have happened with enough jews who did not see fit to decamp old europe in time
i, given my family experience, had always wondered about the jews of old europe and the chinese of old indonesia (and of new indonesia) - why did they not leave
and not just about them, because my immediate family actually left mainland china before the cultural revolution, in 1964, to experiment living outside the mainland, and returned 6 months later to tidy up ... we took too much time, and the door closed
america is already making it difficult to leave, not just for the jews, but for all its citizens

upon investigation of my half-brother's relations by me out of curiosity, it turns that his uncle (brother of his mom), one of the founding personages and first lead of WHO, and all his uncles, were deeply involved in the set up of israel, including the rebel training, fighting and the funding.
walking around china today one cannot imagine the energy that cultural revolution was, and talking to japanese one cannot detect the reasons for nanjing crime, but, every so often, one comes across one or two individuals and one reads of one or two stories, and one is reminded that it only takes a few to reignite what once must have happened. there are enough in america that fits the description of nazis, sympathisers, and otherwise human slugs - they may not pick on the jews specifically, now, but they pick on somebody, and the jews, along with the chinese and all successful minorities, are all simply on the same feeding chain.
what the justice dept did to some ethnic chinese scientists is no better than what the early nazis did to the jewish professors. it all starts small, but with a big hint.
