your post succinctly describes the dilemma of investors everywhere... in sum.... (sounds like the deflationary depression scenario) NO PLACE TO HIDE on a personal note.... we have been looking at business opportunities outside the U.S and thus far the best we've come up with is uruguay <g> and that ain't exactly confidence inspiring (though the beaches are gorgeous) iow....we're dealing with a world wide contraction that leaves few investment alternatives that i can see.... totally open to suggestions from others... maybe an SI expat thread should be started to get the ball rolling
