With "socialism" talk having become tiresome, lazy right-wing voices have decided to climb the attack ladder -- "fascist" is one rung higher than "communist."

Most people on the Right are not buying it yet. But to those of us who understand how fascism takes root, we see the potential.

And yet you didn't 'see' how incompetent Bush was. Why don't I have any faith in your 'eyesight'?

I don't know whether it is his intention or not, and I don't know whether he can make a go of it. But there are definitely parallels with the previous attempt by FDR as well as the one true fascist to claim an entity in the US, Huey P. Long, who built a fascist state in Louisiana (and may well have done the same in the US had FDR--and Long's death--not gotten in his way).

Read my lips......Obama is not fascist. He is a wildly popular leader who will do well by this country. Try not to fukk it up.
