Lost is the phrase which Jesus uses to tell us why He came to this earth."For the Son of man has come to save that which was lost. Matt. 18:11 A wonderful teaching, "The Parable of the lost sheep" Matt.16:10-14.
Sin and sinners,yes here lies the whole scenerio. But for sin there would be no need for my Lord Jesus to have been crucified! No reason at all for Him to have even come to this earth, had it not been for sin and sinners. "And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save his people from their sins" Matt.1:21
At the Last Supper, my Lord Jesus said while taking hold of the wine, (which was symbolic of His Blood) "For this is the blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins" Mat.26:28
"wherefore in all things it behooved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconcilation for the sins of the people" Hebrews 2:17..... Kent there are many many more scriptures that remind us of our sins. In conclusion I must state this:..........
" If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us" 1 John 1:10... Maybe I should give it all to you.......
"This then is the message we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us all from sin.
If we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins,He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. 1 John 1:5-10
If there be guilt it is good, for only then might a person ever know that they have sinned.He will then go to God with a contrite heart. God is willing and able to forgive us all of our sins. Jesus said,The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand, repent ye and believe the gospel Mat. 1:15...
Why are all you guys always so gung ho on taking the gospel of Jesus and doing it sombody's elses way. There is no other way. Jesus is the only way! The remission of sins is the only way to Him.... John 14:6
Yes Kent, God hates sin, but loves the sinner, and it is His will that all come to be saved.....Saved from what? From the depths of hell. To live with God in eternal glory.... John 3:16
