Why economist are wrong, Elmat is right and TJ is going to tremble.

Fiat money CANNOT be printed com gusto if the stock of good is limited.
That when there is more paper money than real assets to be exchanged to that newly minted colored paper.

Now picture that: Once country can print and print and print, as soon as the paper comes out of the press it goes out and find assets to be exchanged for it, the printing can be limitless.

Now consder the bad old of hogging, pre-globalizaton, the money would circulate inside a few tiny countries inflating any hard asset.

What the AG years proved was that no matter what amount of money was being printed it found someone to grab it.

The piling up of money in few piles, created the possibility of Sovereign Wealth Funds coming out and buying the tiny little countries out.

That imbalance wrecked havoc with the USD as a reserve currency.
