No surprise at all.....sports is liberally populated with Christian athletes many of whom publicly make some sort of religious gesture in an effort to get divine assistance in their endeavor. It may be shooting a foul shot, a time at bat, thanks for a hit or home run and even a walk. Big time thanks for a TD in football..... Many teams pray together before the game and after it....especially in the South.
