Shalom Shalom:
re: your response. Let me appologize, I haven't been able to keep up with this board. Great to see so many posts. I have read your discussion of the untimely figs and I think this agrees with my understanding of the Wheat and Tares parable. Do you consider the visit of our Lord to this tree without fruit a parable of His visitation to Israel? I am still awaiting your teaching on the synegogue of Satan. Something I heard this weekend is very interesting. In Luke and in the Revelation when the Lord asks for repentance (Rev 3:20, for example) the Lord connects it with food. Eating is a very enjoyable activity for us human beings. So many people think that the aftermath of repentance is likely to be somehow less enjoyable. There is an element of fear there, as it represents CHANGE. The Lord says just the opposite. The aftermath of repentance is a very enjoyable experience. Just a tidbit.
Shalom,
Lee
