You mean like "you'll be nuked if you vote for Gore" kind of thing. Yeah, me too <g>

I agree that the system is far more complex than simply carbon. History suggests that certain perturbations can cause rapid and sometimes reversing effects, e.g. the ushering in of the little ice age caused by the rapid draining of gigantic lake near the current Great Lakes.

Weather does appear to be getting more extreme, as would be expected (by me) when there's more kinetic energy in the atmosphere and oceans.

I agree with your primary thesis though that much of the mongering is misdirected and perhaps completely inappropriate. I smell the stage being set for a new class of bass-ackwards taxes.

I want to see efficiencies improve across the board, and for the most part (perhaps 100%) let nature take it's course. It's going to anyway, after all.
