Reduction of inflows to any country will indicate one of two possible courses:

[1] Continue present policies and risk self-destruction
[2] Change course, save the currency and the country. Yes, there will be more internal hardship.

In this crisis, we should remember that inflows will decrease anyway. No surpluses: not these days.

Whether the US will retain safe-haven status remains to be seen. If not, change - or worse - is inevitable.
