Actually, what NPR reported is that the oceans "may" be cooling... the last 4 or 5 years. That is the "complex" part of the equation, and a good reason to improve efficiencies across the board (to conserve fossil fuels for our species) and to wait it out, for the most part. I've stated that twice -- are you opposed to improving efficiencies? I think it will be social suicide if we do not.
