Sometimes you hit on something. Republicans are hoping with all their might that Obama fails so they can ride the wave like the national socialiststs did. In short they are rooting for American collapse so they can replicate. What form of govt they bring is debatable---rooting for depression is unconscionable. At first their behavior was somewhat amusing. However, as its gotten uglier, its lost its entertainment qualities. And let's not forget that the nazis rose to power during bad economic times in Germany in the most conservative of German states.
