Long term maybe but not short term... FL has been living on residential growth since the 20's.

Damn. Then FLA is going down the same path as CA. For a long time, Prop 13 worked in CA because fast growth masked the underlying shortfall in revenues. Its when things started slowing down in the early 90s that CA started coming up short.

Yeah local taxes are no different that fed taxes. You can't give an advantage to one class, as we do federally to the idle rich.

It doesn't make a lot of sense but its strange to hear a bank say they will work with you on your financial problems. I guess they are worried about BK.

The whores will do whatever is their best interests, with a balance of economics and political considerations. You and I wouldn't do anything different.
