I never doubt that ALM will be implemented someday. My concern is that whether this technology is AHEAD of its time or not. Right now, most banks, if not all, MANUALLY check all the credit cards they issue, because they don't trust the decisions the computer makes. What I really want to know is that HOW the ALM makes the decision. Is it using a sort of scoring system just like the banks making credit card decision right now? ALM is a WONDERFUL concept, but for the concept to succeed, you need a whole set of infrastructure here, ie, credit reporting, fraud checking, etc, etc. Comments appreciated.
