RE: SparQ as a Zip-killer vs. a Jaz-killer?
>> IMO the 1GB SparkQ is not intended to be a Jazz-Killer, it should be a Zip Killer. If it comes true, the price performance difference, should enable, that possible zip users buy a sparkq. <<
A $199 (or will it be $299?) SparQ isn't even close to being competition to a $99 (current street price) Zip. It's not about capacity or speed, but about marketing and price.
As I pointed out in my message, I don't think SyQuest should concentrate on being a Zip-killer or a Jaz-killer or an anything-killer, but to pursue their own products. That's the advantage I see in their Rocket. It's not trying to kill an established product, and can stand on it's own.

Congratulations! In retrospect, it looks like very good timing.
