But the "fraudulent material" is rooted out by scientists which all believe in evolution, no?... Greg's use of Gould is a prime example. Aren't they simply seeking the truth?

It sounds to me like you think there is "an agenda" by someone to teach a "falsity"??? Just wondering.

Is that the same as above? Is the textbook writters or the scientists? Do you really think "textbook writters" aren't doing the best they can with what they know? I was also under the impression that school systems have wide latitude with choosing publishers?
