IIRC, it was like $5B to $9B. Of course I'm against that. CA needs to solve its own problems, not rely on handouts. How much do Californians (word?) send to the feds? The overall point I was making is that if GM and Chrysler were to disappear tomorrow, the economy will be just fine and the Midwest as a whole won't hit a depression. ... So much for "too big to fail" ... You write that with such confidence. Must be nice to know the future.
