<<SARS replay ...>>

stop talking sexy.

btw, here be my sars chronicles Message 18881580 , alerting folks to the possibilities

i remember SARS well

it was a time of societal anxiety, personal relaxation, business disaster, wealth management reflection, survival rumination, and fantabulous opportunities

at the time, all went around in masks, starting with me, and once all wore masks, i took it off.

all restaurants, however big and inexpensive, and small and boutique, went empty except for yours and the owner's table.

one's usual service providers (travel agent, etc) simply called to say hello, from home to home, just to keep in touch.

many went without pay, for 3 months, and a few less went without for six.

i passed the time drinking wine, snacking on cold cuts, swimming, shorting gold mining puts on nyse, watching dvd, playing pc games, and engaged, along with other folks in a real estate club, with small building on nathan road (busy place in hk) at hkd x (at 50% leverage), only to sell at 4.81x mil within 18 months, yielding 8.5x return on equity.

when bird flu was threatened about 24-36 months later, my wife's first response to the impending and dire situation was, and i quote, "when do we buy?", toi which i responded, you and everyone is thinking the same, that is why the bird flu will never take off.
