*** OT re: taxes and the Wash Sale Someone on another thread tells me that the wash sale rule only applies during the 30 days before and after the new year. I was under the impression that it applies ANY time during the year, but if you wanted to get around the wash sale by buying, then selling 30days later, then of course, it had to be done with 30 days left to go in the year. Can anyone tell me better? -Spank (I bought some more IOM at 26.5, why didn't I wait a few minutes more?)
