$1.8 trillion in deficits for this year alone says otherwise. Of course, you don't think neo-Keynesian ideals should be classified as "ideology" ... Look the last time we had an almost identical situation we had The Great Depression. Now we are much more dependent on the rest of the world for basic necessities... a 'new' great depression would be MUCH, MUCH worse. Yes you are picking between evils. And yes the deficit spending will cause a lot of hardship. I am of the opinion it's worth it; you are not. Not much more to say. BTW do you know if the auto industry loans are part of the deficit?
