"But a plurality of all Americans (49%) still believes a private health insurance company is likely to provide better service and more choice. Twenty-nine percent (29%) say a government-run plan would do a better job and offer more choice, but one-out-of-five (21%) are not sure which would do better. "

The 29% who think the government-run plan would do a better job doesn't understand how Medicare works-----have a friend who just had cataract surgery, the government pays for a basic procedure that is old technologically. The government will not pay for the advance lenses that avoid the use of glasses.

State of the art procedures are usually denied Medicare recipients-----an insurance for which they pay the Federal Government.

This is akin to the whole body scan which private insurers doubted the value of in the early stages of body scans-----and are now routine for many illnesses.

The big issue here is---

"Do you want the Government running a another agency that will take billions of taxpayer dollars to fund?" and,

"Do you want the Government invading the privacy of each persons medical well being and care?"

EMPHATICALLY, KEEP THE GOVERNMENT OUT OF THE MEDICAL INSURANCE BUSINESS. MJ
