Getting it now may turn out be the best thing that could happen to you. As I heard it, the 1918 outbreak started out fairly mild. Those that got it in round 1 were immunized against the more deadly round 2 version. Plus the hospitals are not overwhelmed yet and they have not run out of antivirals yet. The fact that so far there are no fatalities in the US means nothing accept that those people getting in now may turn out to be the lucky ones or it could just be much ado about nothing...
